1. Purpose of this page
This page explains how to make a privacy request to Redmont Counsel. It applies to personal information the company actually holds through direct communications or consulting activities, as well as questions about the website's privacy choices.
The rights and response requirements that apply can depend on your location, the information involved, the company's role, and applicable law. We will review requests in that context. This page does not claim that every privacy statute applies to every visitor or engagement.
2. Information on the current website
The current consultation form validates entries and displays an on-screen confirmation. It does not transmit the entries to Redmont Counsel or save the contact and project fields to persistent local storage. The guided assistant also keeps its conversation in the current page and does not send messages to an external AI provider.
As a result, we may have no company-held copy of information that was entered only into those local features. If you contacted us directly by email, telephone, correspondence, or an agreed project channel, identify that contact when making a request so we can look for relevant records.
3. Requests you may make
You may ask whether we hold personal information about you, request an explanation of the categories or purposes involved, ask for access to relevant information, request correction of inaccurate information, or request deletion where appropriate.
You may also ask to stop an optional use, withdraw a permission you gave, or raise a concern about disclosure or protection. Depending on applicable law, additional rights can include portability, limits on certain processing, or an appeal. We will explain the available process for a request rather than assuming a right applies or does not apply without review.
4. How to submit a request
Contact consulting@redmontcounsel.com with a subject such as Privacy request. State the type of request, the email address or other contact information you previously used, and enough context to identify the relevant communication or engagement.
If you prefer written correspondence, use the postal address at the end of this page. The website's local request form is not a transmission channel for a privacy request. Do not include passwords, full payment-card details, Social Security numbers, or sensitive documents in your initial message.
5. Verification
Before releasing, altering, or deleting information, we may need to confirm that the request comes from the person concerned or an authorized representative. Verification should be proportionate to the request and the sensitivity of the records.
We may ask you to use a previously established contact address, confirm details of an earlier interaction, or provide appropriate evidence of authority. We do not request a government identification document by default. If further information is necessary, we will explain why and seek a reasonable way to verify the request.
6. Authorized representatives
You may use an authorized representative where appropriate. The representative should identify the request and provide a reasonable basis for their authority. We may need confirmation from the person concerned before releasing information to someone else.
A business representative requesting company materials may need a different authorization process from an individual asking about their own personal information. We will consider the relationship, records, and requested action so that one person's request does not improperly expose another person's information.
7. Review and response
We aim to acknowledge and review a request within a reasonable period and within any deadline that applies by law. If we need clarification or an extension permitted by law, we will explain the issue and the expected next step.
There is no routine fee for making a request. If an applicable law permits a fee or a refusal for a particular excessive or unfounded request, we will explain the basis before imposing a charge or refusing to act. An incomplete initial message can be clarified; it does not automatically close the request.
8. Limits on deletion and access
Deletion may be limited by records we need for contracts, invoices, legal obligations, security, or a legitimate dispute. Access may need to exclude another person's private information, confidential third-party material, or information that a law requires us to protect.
Where a request cannot be completed fully, we will explain the relevant limit when appropriate and consider whether a partial response, correction, restriction, or other practical action is possible. A deletion request does not erase a record that never left your device; device-held information can be cleared locally.
9. Optional website choices and privacy signals
Use Privacy choices to change optional analytics or marketing permissions. These categories are off until allowed. Declining optional technologies does not prevent you from reading service descriptions or preparing a consultation brief.
Where Global Privacy Control is exposed as active, the site's manager keeps marketing off and its data-sale setting false. Redmont Counsel does not sell personal information or use the supplied website sections for cross-context behavioral advertising. If you believe a separately configured service behaves differently, include the relevant details in your request.
10. Concerns and appeals
If you disagree with how a request was handled, contact us again with the original request reference or date, the response received, and the reason you would like another review. We will consider additional information and any appeal process required by applicable law.
We do not penalize a person for exercising an applicable privacy right or declining optional website technologies. You may also contact a competent regulator or use another remedy available under applicable law. An internal review does not remove those options.
11. Updates and contact
This page may be updated when information practices or applicable processes change. The Last updated date identifies the current version. The Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain related information-handling and storage practices.
For a specific request, use direct contact rather than the guided assistant. The assistant can explain the website but cannot verify identity, search company-held records, or complete a privacy request on behalf of Redmont Counsel.
